Work 1
Works created between 2024 and 2026 are eligible for submission. Please select the year of production. If you created the work across multiple years, please select the year in which it was completed.
Total of H, W, and D must not exceed 240 cm.
If the work is an installation, the floor area and height must not be exceed 9㎡ and 3.3 m respectively.
Use cm for dimensions.
Include the first decimal place in each dimension (e.g., 30.7 cm).
Use a period, not a comma, for the decimal point.
Maximum weight 100 kg (220 lb).
Use kg for the weight.
Include the first decimal place in the weight (e.g., 30.5 kg).
No more than 80 English words including punctuation.
Spaces are not included in the word count but punctuation marks (e.g. . , “ “ *) are.
This figure is used for calculating the insurance value. The maximum value must not exceed 1,000,000 JPY.
The digital images of the work you are submitting must each be taken from a different angle, and one of them must capture a view of the entire work.
The images must be in JPEG format, 2MB-10 MB, 300-350 dpi, about 2000 x 3000 pixels, and the long side should be about 20 cm.
File names of the digital images must use the following format: your name/group name + title of work + number (01, 02 or 03). Make sure to include your name and the title of the work in English. (Maximum 16 characters)
If your work is selected for the exhibition, the first image you submitted, of the three images you submitted of it, will mainly be used in the catalogue and related activities, including press relations. When you save the digital image, please make sure that its orientation, the up-down and left-right directions, is correct. The Executive Committee of the Toyama International Glass Exhibition (the Executive Committee hereinafter) will not be held responsible if the work is shown incorrectly because it was saved with the incorrect orientation.
For video works, please attach images correctly representing the contents of the video. If the work is selected, only those images will be printed in the catalogue.
Video works are limited to those in which glass plays the major role or performance pieces using glass.
The length of the video must be no more than five minute.
Please upload your work on YouTube (video sharing site, www.youtube.com), with “unlisted” visibility as the privacy setting, and please enter the URL below.
Please make it viewable and data-obtainable until Saturday, July 31, 2027.
As for the volume of the data to be uploaded, please follow the restrictions of the application you use. The data format must be mp4.
Work 2
The submitted work may be published in various media. Please indicate here that you agree.
Please review the use of intellectual property rights in the application guidelines and indicate here that you agree. The submitted work must not infringe on any third party’s rights, including intellectual property rights (copyrights, etc). The applicant must acquire permission from the intellectual property rights holder(s) to use a logo, symbol, art, film, photograph, video, program, music, etc., before submitting the work. If a third party should claim infringement of a right and/or demand compensation, the applicant will be solely responsible. The sponsors of this exhibition are excluded from any liability.
Personal information provided by applicants shall be used for purposes related to this exhibition (e.g., communications needed for operations, announcements of judging results, shipping of documents, communicating information about the exhibition, statistical work, return of works, information about the next exhibition, and so on) or for research activities carried out by the museum. Please indicate here that you agree.
Works receiving the Grand Prize or Gold Prize shall be donated to the Toyama Glass Art Museum. These prizes are therefore confirmed upon the artist’s submission of the donation form, after the second judging.
